In accordance with the new editions of the standards, we inform you that ISO 14001:2026 (15.04.2026) and ISO 9001:2026 (16.09.2026) have been published. They replace ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015. The clause structure remains the same, with changes focusing on clearer wording, greater emphasis on leadership and culture, climate change, and the management of risks and opportunities. Existing documentation serves as a good basis for the transition. The following applies:

  • Validity & Audits: Your certificate remains valid during the transition period. The transition can be conducted during a surveillance audit, recertification, or a special transition audit.
  • New Certifications (2015 versions): New certifications under the 2015 editions are possible until 30.10.2027 (ISO 14001) and 30.03.2028 (ISO 9001). After these dates, all new certificates will be issued solely under the 2026 editions.
  • Final Transition Deadline: The deadline for transitioning existing certificates is 30.04.2029 for ISO 14001 and 30.09.2029 for ISO 9001. Certificates not transitioned by these dates will be withdrawn.
  • Audit Completion Deadline: The transition audit must be completed by 30.09.2028 (ISO 14001) or 31.12.2028 (ISO 9001) at the latest, allowing sufficient time to close non-conformities and issue the new certificate.
  • Accreditation & Planning: INTERCERT will conduct transition audits once accreditation for the new editions is obtained and will notify you as soon as this occurs. If you are certified under both standards, we will plan the transition together.
